Family Navigation: Season 3: Spring | Season 5: Fall (Week 1)

Hello and welcome back to this Acheviement Insanity Project! We will end this post with an heir poll for this family! Can you believe we are already at an heir poll? We will be having quite a few polls during round 4 of this challenge hood. For today we are with the Hundred’s, our legendary legacy family. Last update Saffron grew into a toddler, then a child, Ginger aged up to a teen, and Regan moved to her third career. Beyond that the family mostly skilled and spent time together. Let’s dig in!

At 4 AM we are extra surprised to find the entire family in bed. I don’t think this has ever happened before, it’s possible I had told them to go to bed and just simply do not remember, but don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. Everyone is in bed and we are ready to start.

Regan and Joaquin seek each other out often to be affectionate with each other. They are super cute and very much in love with each other. I am happy they have their two kids and they have both done well so far. Now we just have to finish up their aspirations/careers.

Since we now have all these new features, expect many updates like this during the round. Regan and Ginger are apparently Jokesters with each other, which sounds like fun to me. Joaquin on the other hand has spent so much time cleaning and vacuuming and has discovered he is also Neat!

The family works on various skills and homework throughout the weekend. Poor Ginger ended up sick with a stripey sickness. Poor thing, we give her some care and send her to bed to get better quickly. Thankfully it seems the sickness does not spread.

Saffron manages to complete the artistic prodigy aspiration already. The “tiny” house benefits have really helped these kids with aspirations. I roll for the next and we get one of the new aspirations. Saffron will be working on the Playtime Captain aspiration next.

Playtime Captian requires having a treehouse, and since this family lives in a small house on a very large lot we plop one down and have the whole family start working on building the treehouse. It takes a couple of days, but I’m excited to see how it goes. I probably should put a treehouse down in a public park somewhere for kids who don’t have room.

Our kids both start going through some phases at the same time. Saffron is headed into a bear phase, so that’s another kid in a bear costume. Looks like he might get the pineapple bear. Then Ginger is growing distant. In this small of a house that is going to be hard to maintain. Hopefully, she will get over it quickly.

I follow Ginger to school and she gets to meet and/or hang out with 2 familiar students, Clover Krause, and Kendall Keet. I don’t fully remember if she had met them prior to this, but I don’t think so. There is another unknown student that I can’t remember the name of that also hangs out for a bit. She hits it off really well with both Clover and Kendall.

Saffron comes home with rising grades, so he’s doing quite well so far. He’s still got plenty of time to turn that B into an A. For now we will focus on the new aspiration.

Once everyone is back at home we work some more on the treehouse and get it finally gets completed. Some pirate decorations later and both Ginger and Saffron have some fun checking out the house. I love all the imagination drawings around Saffron as he plays!

Since one of the new milestones that exist is learning to ride a bike as a kid, I wanted to try it out. So we buy Saffron a bike and have Joaquin head out to help him start to learn how to ride. This feels like it will take quite a while to learn, even though Saffron has already almost fully maxed his Motor skill.

The next time we follow Ginger to school she starts the day by working out on one of the machines in the gym. I really quite like this school, it seems like it has quite a few good items/rooms in easy access. Ginger works out for a bit, then grabs a super quick shower before class.

Ginger’s class contains many familiar and unfamiliar faces. We see Girasol, Nadia, Kendall, and Winston all sitting in class with Ginger, and there might be others that I don’t immediately recognize. Once the class is over Ginger meets and gets to know a couple of the more unfamiliar students in her class, I’m curious to see how the classes change as we get more teens and bring them to school.

Back at home, Regan works in the garden a bit. She is working hard to get all the skills she needs up to level 8. It will take a bit to get all the needed skills that high, but gardening is one we will work towards. She was already up to level 5 or 6 before this round started.

Regan gets a phone call and we get a chance to try out another of the new features, a stay-over request. We do know this guy, that I know of, but we decide, why not. So we say ok and he plans to stay with the family for around 4 days.

Saffron has already completed his second aspiration and next, he gets the Mind and Body aspiration, which is another new one. I’m looking forward to trying it out, and one of the requirements is to learn to ride a bike, so it’s good we’ve already started that.

Joaquin and Saffron are close and spend a lot of time together. They read/do homework together, Joaquin helps Saffron with learning to ride his bike, and they just seem to overall enjoy each other’s company. It’s really just very sweet. I really love this family. You can also see a bit of the science table in the treehouse, I moved the kids skill tables up there.

When we get the pop-up that Joaquin and Saffron are getting the dynamic of Jokesters we of course say yes. This doesn’t surprise me at all and I am all for this dynamic in this family. Then Regan has a self-discovery that she might be an Overachiever. I’m also all for this. I might not always say yes to these, but for now, I think this is a lot of fun, and they have made sense.

The next time we follow Ginger to school she starts the day working hard on studying for her exams. That afternoon, however, is career day. Once she completes the career day goals she starts working on her homework while chatting with another classmate who also was done with career day.

Regan comes home with a promotion and the same day Saffron comes home with an A in school. The family is doing a great job this round so far. Regan has all the job promotions she needs for her aspiration, so we can focus on the skills she needs now. I would like her to finish this career but we’ll see how it goes.

While we saw how close Joaquin and Saffron are, Ginger and her mother Regan are also quite close. We saw their dynamic set as Joksters earlier as well. During a conversation with her mother, Ginger decides she like Nature Enthusiasts, which I don’t think Regan actually fulfills, but it could have been a schoolmate.

It’s firework day and while we invite quite a few school friends over to sit around the fire, it mostly ends up being family. The evening does see some friends come by, but I didn’t manage to get any pictures of that. For the most part the family roasts some marshmallows and opens up poppers.

Joaquin has a new self-discovery that he is Cheerful! I can’t imagine a more perfect additional trait for Joaquin, so of course we say yes to this!

Joaquin and Saffron are still working hard on his bike riding. I can’t believe how long this is taking to actually complete. Saffron maxed his Motor skill quite a while ago. We will keep going though, and Joaquin seems to be really trying to encourage Saffron.

Ginger has a chance to go to prom for what would basically be her “junior” year (basically her second to last Saturday as a teen) and talks to her mom about it. Then one of her best friends, Girasol Petal comes by and hangs out with her. They will be going to prom together as friends.

Prom was a decent amount of fun. First Ginger was invited to prepare for prom at Winston Grey’s house, which was sort of interesting. Then Ginger went to prom and got nearly nothing accomplished because prom feels super short. It was decided to allow Ginger and Girasol to attend after prom. They had a good time at the wharf and Ginger went home tired but happy.

We get a couple of interesting pop-ups. First, we noticed multiple members of the family got sad, and when we checked out the neighborhood stories we saw that Darsh died. It took me a few minutes to realize who this was. Darsh was our stayover guest. He made friends with most of the family but then suddenly died and now everyone is sad. Next Ginger’s friendships with all her classmates cause her to decide she also likes High Energy Sims.

The family got a call from one of their friends that live in Sulani that they added a new member to the family. The Hundred’s were offered the chance to come over and meet them. The new member was an adorable new doggie. Saffron gets to know the puppy and adores him already. We won’t likely be getting a dog right now, but we might depending on how the rest of this generation goes.

Ginger spends the rest of the weekend hanging out with her friends. Girasol comes over often and hangs out a lot. Then Kameron Keet comes by and asks to be best friends. We get a lot of these requests now and I go ahead and say yes to each of them. So far we are not having any major issues with saying yes when it comes to our other friends, so I think it’s worth it.

Regan, while cooking a new meal, completes her aspiration. It took a while but Regan got to at least level 8 in Cooking, Fitness, Gourmet Cooking, Handiness, Logic, and Parenting. I really thought she needed more than 6, but luckily she did not. We were really close with Gardening and Video Gaming too. Next up Regan got the Super Parent aspiration.

Saffron finally completed learning to ride a bike and completes his third aspiration. Next up he gets Rambunctious Scamp, but I don’t think he will get far with it. It’s very close to his birthday. Regan then gets a work rival, which I haven’t yet dealt with, so this should be fun.

Regan and Joaquin go and have some fun. This better not cause a new baby you two!!! It’s not that I want to keep them from having fun, but we are so close to an heir poll and I don’t want to add another baby this late in the generation. Luckily Regan does not become pregnant.

The next time we go to school Ginger is back to studying for exams. She looks stressed here, and really with as often as exams are in the sims, I can’t say I blame her. She is basically in what would likely be considered her senior year of school, although she might still be in her junior year.

Ginger then gives me a bit of a shock. So she has a crush on Kendall Keet? Well, if one of these girls doesn’t end up being an heiress of their respective families I would love to let these two get together. I guess we’ll see what all the heir polls say over the course of this round, but I do like the idea of the families starting to join together.

Ginger’s crush Kendall comes home with her after school to play some video games. It’s also a celebratory day as it’s Saffron’s birthday. So the more the merrier, although in this little house that might not always be the best idea. We don’t invite anyone else over for the party.

Happy Birthday, Saffron! He managed to complete 3 aspirations giving him the Creatively Gifted, Idea Person, and Headstrong traits. He also managed to max out all of his child skills thanks to the “tiny” home bonuses. A roll of his teen aspiration gives him Public Enemy. This doesn’t fully match his Good trait (that is added to Goofball) but hey, we can probably call it a phase he goes through.

Saffron closed his eye when we took the picture, but here he is after his makeover. He mostly gets blue clothing, since that’s what most of his clothes upon growing up were colored, and I think he’s a nice mix of Regan and Joaquin.

Ginger apparently has some issues with arguments and decides she doesn’t like Argumentative Sims. That’s fine, I don’t think I would either. Regan then gets kind of a fun pop-up about her work rival. I went the route of trying to befriend him, just to see how that goes, and I thought this was fun.

Following the kids to school the next time gives me a chance to give Saffron a locker, which he also decorates, and then he joins Ginger in her class. Sort of funny since he’s basically a freshman/sophomore, and Ginger is a junior/senior, but that’s all right. At lunch, Saffron goes around meeting many of the other sims who were at school that day.

At home I have Ginger prepare a promposal sign (which then disappears and I had to remake it, so rude) but anyway, because she wants to invite Kendall to prom as her date. I’m going to at least encourage this match and hope that both girls are not chosen as heiress of their houses. I think there is a decent chance.

While Ginger works on her promposal sign Saffron gets a start on his homework. He has a lot to live up to when it comes to his sister and school. She’s had an A for quite a while, although I didn’t seem to ever get a picture of it. He will not be going to prom this weekend since he’s a new teen and I decided teens only get to attend 2 proms while I am playing their family. Obviously we might see teens from other houses at multiple proms.

Ginger and Saffron get the close dynamic pop-up, which makes a lot of sense to me. They have shared a room most of their lives, and have spent a lot of time together while their parents worked a lot. Regan also decided she really likes Deception due to the pranks Joaquin was playing on her. They make each other happy.

When we follow the kids to school next they both start off with a desire/task to work out. Both of them head into the gym and get a quick workout in before classes start.

Ginger takes a chance after the morning class to present her promposal and Kendall says yes right away. Ginger is on cloud nine for the rest of the school day knowing she has a date to her final prom (at least played by me, she will probably be at others the rest of this round.)

Friday night I decide to have a teen “lock-in” at the rec center. I did download a new rec center that was bigger with a party room, and while I had planned on having an outdoor movie night, it started to rain, so the movie got put up in the party room, and pizza was ordered, games were played and it was a fun time. No one slept the entire night, so the kids were both very tired by the time they got home.

Joaquin and Regan continue to make each other laugh and so they now get the Jokesters dynamic as well. Seems like this is pretty much Joaquin’s dynamic with most of his family. That makes a lot of sense for who he is though.

Senior prom for Ginger is here, and she and Kendall have a lot of fun together. Nadia Keet managed to win the jokester title for prom and the rest of the time they worked hard to check off some prom “tasks.” They do head to the after-prom, but Ginger is so exhausted after the lock-in the night before she goes home shortly after they arrive. We did have a more successful prom this time, and it was a lot of fun to watch these two together.

Back at home, when 4 AM rolls around on Sunday morning, Ginger is crashed into bed and Joaquin is as well. Saffron is up on the computer and Regan is watching some TV, but it’s time to switch houses. Next up we have the Petal house, but before we get to that we have an heir poll to discuss.

These are our two options, of course, for the next heir. I went ahead and rolled for a final trait and an adult aspiration for both. Ginger will be adding Goofball to Genius and Geek for her traits. She also currently seems on track to at least get a couple of character traits as well. Her adult aspiration roll was Archaeology Scholar, so she may or may not have a proper job if picked.

On the other side of this poll we have Saffron, who will add Outgoing to his Goofball and Good traits. He also rolled Zen Guru as his adult aspiration, which is interesting. Perhaps he decides that being a teen public enemy is just because he needs to be more zen. He will also likely get a couple of good character traits.

I really like both of these kids, but if Ginger is picked I will probably fight to keep Kendall from being the heiress for the Keet’s so they can be together. Either way we will work it out though. Please feel free to vote below or I will have a poll up over at boolprop as well. If you feel very strongly you can vote in both places. I’m very curious who will be chosen as the next heir, and if you have any ideas about the kids careers or what you might want to see happen with this family over 100 generations please feel free to leave them in the comments! Thanks for reading and see you over at the Petal’s! Happy voting!

  1. I’m having a lot of fun with the new adhitions to tge game! I haven’t had the work rival thing, but it looks quite funny lol I love how it doesn’t tell you what they did to become hated lol! Also loving the bew child aspirations, but learning to ride a bike trully takes a long time! Awesome for Saffron completing 3 aspirations btw!

Oh, Kendall and Ginger are so cute together! I really love Ginger and looks like she has the lead on the Heirpoll, so I’ll be on your side on Kendall not becoming heir for the Keets! Let’s protect the love! Lol

    1. Thanks so much for reading! Always makes me happy to see. The additions are a lot of fun, and I’m glad to have your support with keeping Kendall and Ginger together. Granted, Kendall may have different plans for her update, but I hope not. I like them together a lot. So glad you are enjoying the challenge.
